A variety of solutions, each characterized by a different internal configuration of the seats and the wheelchair area, are available for the main vehicle models of the different manufacturers, either short, medium or long wheelbase.
Thanks to Handytech's attention to the end user, each adaptation can be customised according to individual requirements and complies with the standards envisaged by the relevant national and European regulations.

Various custom configurations which allow up to a maximum of 2 wheelchairs are possible on medium-sized vehicles, vans or minivans.
Depending on the vehicle, it is possible to choose the rear access solution featuring an electro-hydraulic platform or a manual servo-assisted ramp, or lateral access via an electric platform to be installed near the right tailgate.
There are a number of internal configurations available depending on the vehicle wheelbase and the original seating layout. Combinations up to 8 seats + 1 wheelchair or 6 seats + 2 wheelchairs, side by side or in line, ensure an optimum arrangement for passengers.
The original seat can be replaced, installing swivel and fold-out, wall-mounted seats to have more room for one or two wheelchairs.
Anchoring systems comply with ISO 10542 and national regulations ensuring that wheelchair and passenger are transported in complete safety.

As a replacement for more conventional adaptations on medium and large-sized vehicles, we prefer equipment solutions called MAS (Multi Adaptive Solution), which thanks to their modularity, provide various transport solutions ranging from 9 seats up to the transport of 4 wheelchair passengers.
Access to the modular aluminium platform is via an electro-hydraulic double arm
lift, also made of aluminium, with a large folding platform or alternatively via a servo-assisted aluminium ramp.
The modular platform has been designed to simplify seat positioning and the accommodation of wheelchair passengers ensuring there is room for handling and maneuvers and exterior visibility, while allowing passengers to interact during the journey.
The large size of the vehicles can accommodate up to 4 large wheelchairs, while maintaining 5 comfortable seated positions. On-board safety is ensured by the standard equipment. The seats have been certified in accordance with EU Regulations 77/541, 74/408 and 76/115 while the wheelchair and passenger restraint system comply with ISO 10542 and the national regulations.
Pedestrian access is made easier by an automatic, retractable step, in addition to the handles inside the vehicle.
